Since commencing business in 1994 over 250 people are currently in long-term relationships through our service. Many of them are now married and some have children. Overall, about one in eight of our members will find a partner through Tablemates. Along the way, many of our members have also extended their network of friends.
Attention to detail and an overall pursuit of high quality form the backbone of our operation. We pride ourselves on being Melbourne’s Premier Dinner Club by creating ongoing value for our members. The owners of Tablemates have personally interviewed and matched over 3,500 people in the 14 years since it's inception. People who join Tablemates are often time-poor and concerned about how they spend their leisure time and with whom. At Tablemates we understand this and as such recognise that there is much more to running a Dinner Club than solely matching people according to their age group and availability.
We work differently to other Dinner Clubs. Firstly, we meet you personally to establish your needs (no online questionnaires or registration). Secondly, we arrange and offer you Dinner Invitations in advance, based on group compatibility and information provided by you at your registration.
As a result, we are able to determine who will be attending each dinner group in the interests of group compatibility.
Our members are committed to Tablemates, which means for you that 99% of diners turn up on the evening. Should something unforeseen happen, our members will inform us and we can find a replacement even at short notice to ensure a high quality dinner nonetheless.
Over one third of our members join Tablemates through referral and word-of-mouth.
